Oberheim OB-X

 This 4-voice instrument was in very rough shape when we received it.  The embedded system was locked up, the case was covered in duct tape, and the keyboard action had a lot of problems. The memory chip that was causing a problem with the data bus was replaced, along with  a blown transistor in the power supply, the  power supply was recapped and every tantalum capacitor that does not carry audio was replaced.   We re-bushed the keyboard and replaced several contact wires, removed the duct tape and residue, and replaced knob caps. Each  trimmer pot in the voice cards was replaced with new multi-turn units, our   5.6v regulator board mod was added, along with an Encore MIDI kit, and new walnut end bells were  fabricated .


Additional voice cards and card carrier from Old Crow were built and installed along with a newly fabricated upper voice card tray and connectors.

​Failing LEDs were replaced with  clear white versions.


It sounds simply amazing!
