The subwoofer box is made of polycatbonate, and has a single Bose 6" driver.
I chose to stuff the box with fiberglass insulation, and solder and heat-shrink a 6 foot speaker cable to the existing leads.
I attached the leads to the amplifier connector block, and reinstalled the subwoofer.
I have since purchased a JL Audio 6 WO 6.5" subwoofer driver, which will replace the Bose driver. I will measure the Bose box, and enter it's measurements, along with the parameters of the JL Audio driver into a computer model to try to determine the theoretical frequency response of this combination.
I will then adjust the parameters of the box (if necessary) to find the optimal frequency response for the new subwoofer in the allroad.
I'll document this in future updates of this page
